GM Engineering has over 70 years of business performance built as an established manufacturer of grinding machines, including the history of Yoshikawa Co., Ltd., which GM Engineering purchased. We have had strong support from customers who need to machine glass, ceramic and metal items. We believe that we have their great confidence because of our perpetual pursuit of improvements in machine performance.
In recent years, we established precision grinding technology and developed multifaceted grinding machines for prisms. We have worked on developments in the field of high-precision surface lapping and put new products on the market. We aim to be a company that attracts attention within the industry and we intend to meet our customers' needs by continuing to focus on the challenge to make new technological developments.

History

July, 1975	Mr. Takatsugu Nakamura resigned from Yoshikawa Co., LTD. GM ENGINEERING established in Kaisan-cho, Sakai. Began the design and sale of special purpose machines.
May, 1979	GM ENGINEERING CO., LTD. was formed, with JPY2,000,000 in capital.
September, 1979	Office moved to 2-3-7 Yanagino-cho Nishi, Sakai, as a business extension. Became the exclusive sales agent for Yoshikawa Co., LTD.
March, 1982	Became a special sales agent for Nikon Corporation.
June, 1984	Head office building constructed at 2-57-75 Yamamoto-cho, Sakai.
February, 1986	Capital increased to JPY5,000,000.
April, 1992	Capital increased to JPY10,000,000.
April, 1992	Yoshikawa Co., Ltd., a maker of grinding machines, was closed. GM Engineering acquired all of its rights and set up a factory at 4-1-1, Haze-cho, Sakai, to start manufacturing vertical surface grinding machines.
February, 2004	Head office and factory combined at 127-1, 2-chome, Kaisan-cho, Sakai-ku, Sakai.
